What inspired you to start your business?

Raffaela Vergata is a maker of functional pottery who lives and works in New York. Raffaela uses herlooms from her family to create her work. Primarily focused on impressing her great grandmother’s lace into her wears. Elegant yet rustic, each piece is hand made from slab. Using mostly matte glaze and exposed clay she strives to create a country asthetic for things we use every day. 

What makes your house a home?

Having friends around. Living in midtown manhattan, it is very easy for friends to stop by all day. I love hosting my friends and serving snacks on my handmade wares.
