What inspired you to start your business?

It all started with needles and a beautiful ball of wool. Once I learned how to knit, I was hooked! The process of knitting is almost like a meditation, you fall into a rhythm. And with knitting, you have unlimited choices of colors, stitches and designs- whatever you can imagine you can create! All of my designs are knit by me by hand, stitch by stitch with needles and lots of love. No machines, no helpers, just me. 

What makes your house a home?

My family, including my two children and the sweetest two Australian Shepherds makes it a home. We love to cook, bake and create together- whether it is music or art, something is always being created within these walls.

The Nest is warm, welcoming, beautiful store that truly has something for everyone. When I first walked in, not only was it visually enticing- the walls! the floors! the gratitude wall art piece! but look around at all the treasures it contains!! Mixing handmade art and artisan items with vintage finds, new housewares is just what Northport needed!
